tangent function
Homogeneous trigonometric equations are equations in which all terms involve trigonometric functions, such as sine and cosine, raised to the same degree.
The tangent function \(f(x) = \tan(x)\) assigns to each angle \(x\), expressed in radians, its corresponding tangent value.
\[ \tan(x) = \frac{\sin(x)}{\cos(x)} \]
